小萨，小萨克斯也。它是一种简易的萨克斯乐器。

小巧美观，便于携带，故又有人称这类乐器为口袋萨克斯、迷你萨克斯、魔笛等。国内外类似的产品还有竹萨克斯、和平管、Xaphoon、Tupian等。

小萨采用与萨克斯完全相同的笛头（又称吹嘴），吹奏小萨与吹奏萨克斯的嘴上功夫近乎相同，会吹萨克斯的乐手，第一次拿起小萨就能吹奏，同样会吹小萨的乐手，也能立即吹萨克斯。因为它们吹奏乐器的“口活”是相同的。所有的嘴上功夫，如吐音、吼音、滑音等等，二者皆可相互通用。

小萨采用了与萨克斯完全相同的笛头，显然其声音之“源”与萨克斯是完全相同的，因而其音色十分接近萨克斯。与萨克斯一样，小萨的笛头与管体也是分开设计。通过笛头与管体连接深度的改变，可以微调整个乐器的音高。笛头与管体分开，乐手可以使用不同风口和不同材质的笛头，以获得自己想要的音响效果。

借助在电脑上的现代工业设计及3D打印模型技术，经过长期反复的实验测试，最终确定了小萨现有的外形和音孔数据。小萨的音孔排列进行的设计是科学实用的，使这种无按键管乐器也能方便地吹奏出连续完整的全音阶音。更巧妙的是在整个乐器最低音上再向下延伸一个半音，以及增加了一个较为常用的#F音孔，使小萨演奏的乐曲范围更广、指法更加便捷。这两项前无古人的音孔设计，获得了国家认可的实用新型专利！

小萨目前有两种。11孔小萨2014年夏天面世；8孔小萨2016年夏天面世。

选择8孔还是11孔？

我是小萨发明人何林仙。我在2014年开发出了11孔小萨。销售了两年时间。我发现11孔小萨难倒了不少的初学者。因为双手十个手指全部都要用到。新手要顾嘴，又要顾手。不少琴行、学校原计划培训小萨乐器，因不易上手而放弃。对新手来说，先要入门，增加他们学习的信心。我开发的小萨，用户吹了两天就让她睡大觉，不是我愿意看到的。

基此理念，我决定开发一种简单易学的小萨。葫芦丝、竖笛等这些好吹的乐器多数是8孔或7孔。经不断研究测试，最终确定开发8孔小萨。7孔只能做到一个八度的音域，这种音域可吹的曲子少之又少。8孔的，有9度的音域。虽然只增加了一度的音域，但可吹的曲子多得多。这些歌都是8孔小萨可吹的：《义勇军进行曲》《涛声依旧》《美丽的神话》《明天你是否依然爱我》《青春舞曲》《大海啊故乡》《外面的世界》《在那遥远的地方》《雪绒花》《奇异恩典》《爱的罗曼斯》《蓝色的爱》《生日快乐歌》……这里只列出了很小一部分8孔小萨可吹曲子，我们看到大量经典歌曲、流行歌曲都是8孔小萨可以很方便的吹奏的。

8孔小萨直接使用标准的萨克斯笛头，今后转学萨克斯，嘴上功夫完全相同。由于直接使用萨克斯笛头，音色可以很象萨克斯。有次我录了萨克斯吹的和8孔小萨吹的，然后让我夫人听，她居然不能区分哪个是小萨吹的，哪个是萨克斯吹的。

总之，我建议新手选择8孔小萨！8孔小萨我研究了2年时间。音色、外观、品质等方面，比11孔小萨更胜一酬。另外，29页的8孔小萨的《入门教程》，更是我精心编著，教程里包含有乐谱，以及声的示例、伴奏音乐（电脑上查看时，双击教程里的图标就能听到声音）。

There was a time when I recorded Sax and 8 holes LittleSax, and then let my wife listen. She couldn't tell which one was played by LittleSax, and which was played by Sax.

In short, I suggest that the novice choose 8 hole LittleSax! I studied 8 hole LittleSax for 2 years. Tone, appearance, quality, etc., better than 11 hole LittleSax.
